Brian was asked to suggest what should be in his profile. He came up with the following......

"Surprisingly I have now been in the financial services industry for the past 18 years, and of those have spent the last nine or so at APFS. I say surprisingly because given the ever changing nature of the financial services industry, I still have hair (albeit short) and in addition it has not yet turned grey. During these nine years I have dealt with and continue to deal with all areas within the industry but I spend a proportionally greater amount of my time advising clients about retirement planning (pensions to you and me) and how to get the maximum benefit from, (or pay the least tax on), single premium investments. Before that, and after leaving university, I worked in the construction industry and was involved in the purchase of land considered suitable for residential development."

"I am married (I have just passed the 20 years mark in 2009), and with my wife Diane, we have a single teenaged daughter, Tania - (even more surprising therefore that I still have hair which has not yet turned grey). Both myself and my wife work full time and 12 months ago we moved into a new house. In order to turn this house into a home, most weekends since, instead of being used for the purpose of rest and leisure, have invariably have become filled with countless DIY projects and home improvements.... but hopefully this is now coming to an end."

"In my youth I was a very sporty and energetic soul and my greatest achievement was undoubtably when I represented Great Britain at various swimming championships. Nowadays, however, my greatest sporting challenge is to get to the gym on a consistant enough basis to keep the weight down. (At the moment I am losing, but my time will come)."
